On Monday September 25, 2006 Lakeside Lanes was the host of a charitable fund raiser benefiting Children's Memorial Hospital. Chicago Bears guard Roberto Garza and his wife Ashley were the hosts of the "Bowling with the Bears" event.
Over 300 people attended this event, and over $8,000 was raised for Children's Memorial. Numerous Bears players donated their time for this worthy cause, and their presence was appreciated by the entire crowd.
